After a year of passing an abandoned house on Oglethorpe, we decided to go explore this little treasure today. Usually the front door is propped open, but because of recent shady occurrences the house was locked up. We had to go through a boarded up window in the basement. After a pair of ripped jeans, we began to make our way through the pitch black basement and began to climb upwards. Debris, creaky stairs, steaming sunlight, and decaying wallpaper were just a few of the things waiting before us. This historic site unfortunately burned in 2009 and has yet to be restored. For now, I will take advantage of it and am glad I got to see the inside.
