Valentino Spring 2012

I absolutely never do this, but these are awesome.
Everything about them. I want just one. Just one.
I would like to wear one, frame the fabric, then look at it forever.

A Structure

It has been a while.
Between now and last time I have fully entered back into the swing of school.
There really hasn't been a moment to stop besides a day ago when I decided to make the best decision of my life- shut the doors, close the curtains, and sleep the afternoon away.
I have already moved past the overwhelming feelings my classes have flung my way.  I am so excited for the amount of work I will be producing this quarter.  I love everything so far.
Bookmaking. Love.
Images on Fabric. Love.
Modern Literature. Love. Love. Love.
Online Math....

Anyways, last weekend I had to make eight books using some different structures: fan, accordion, blind, and western codex.  This is one of the structures.

My Daily Grind

My dear friend Julia wrote this about me in her creative writing class today.  As I began to read, I thought it might be a clever way of telling me to lighten my steps when walking down the stairs in the morning...but it wasn't! It is just breath of fresh air in my all too busy day today.

"Her tall, skinny legs clop down the stairs in a way that makes you notice her arrival.  Pausing in the foyer, she looks around to see if there's anyone to spy on.  Her silky, unbrushed hair tickles her face and nose before she mindlessly secures it on the side.  If you are invited, she'll let you see her smile, but it is never what you expect it to look like.  The coffee mug is empty, but she carries it with her always, mostly for the image it portrays.  Soon it will be full again and she'll return back to her silver throne in the back of the house."
