September 22nd, the first day of Autumn!

I cannot tell you how eager I have been for the year to turn. Starting in July, I put on my favorite outfits consisting of cardigans, sweatshirts, socks, boots!, leggings, scarves, etc! Nothing pleases me more than comfy clothes and curling up indoors with great books, music, friends, and family. Things are going to be a bit different here in Savannah, but I don't think gray skies with the drooping Spanish mosses will do me any wrong:) I cannot wait to walk and bike, exploring this little city, with the breeze and colors of autumn passing me by. Oh, character of Autumn, I beseech you to come quick! Your spirit has been with me, but please show your face. Ahhhh. *sigh*

Dorm life feels the slightest bit confining. I cannot wait to have visual freedom and decorate my home! Fly, year, fly!

Bringing Back the Old

Letter writing. You guys are sick of hearing it from me, but I repeat I am horrible at communication. I have an easy fix. I have started to write letters. Give me your address and we can be instant pen pals! Look! I even made my own stationary before I left. Come on now, you know I don't easily return phone calls fast enough and my texts trickle out most often. Pick up the pen and go buy stamps, because I am bringing back the old.

College

As I write, I am enjoying a nice cup of coffee with some peace and quiet. mmmm. So far, college is just great. I love Savannah, and am excited to start exploring and figuring out how to bike/walk/bus around the city! All I know is, I will be having very curly hair while I am here. Between the weeping trees, church steeples, and carriage rides, it seems this place will do me just fine. I went to Bull Street Baptist yesterday and was delighted to find a good message and very very friendly old people! I think I will definitely be going back. Between many other things, orientation was a joke and missed most of it and toured around the city and buying things for the dorm life with my parents. Our dorm room looks pretty good, although the walls are a bit empty. I love my roommate and cannot wait to rekindle this friendship. Also, I am excited to get to know others...in due time. My roommate and I will be watching lots of TV. Here I come Kardashians/ glee/ modern family/ man buys world/ project runway/ cake boss! Oh my! Went on my first motorcycle ride last night. Life is just so crazy here.
